THE PROCEDURE: LYMPHEDEMA LIPOSUCTION

Unlike cosmetic liposuction, lymphedema liposuction targets the excess fat and fibrotic tissue that accumulates in the limb as a result of chronic lymphedema. Under general anesthesia, our skilled plastic surgeon makes small incisions and uses a specialized liposuction technique to carefully remove the diseased fatty tissue. The goal is to reduce limb volume, improve contour, and restore a more natural appearance. This procedure does not repair damaged lymphatic vessels but can significantly improve limb shape and mobility when combined with ongoing compression therapy.
